Storage and Disposal
Epinephrine is unstable when exposed to light or air. Consequently, it must be stored in airtight containers which block light. Adrenaline, a naturally colorless crystal, begins to brown and decompose when exposed to light or air.
Epinephrine should be disposed of via incineration. Several processes, such as rotary kiln, liquid injection, and fluidized bed incineration are effective for the disposal of epinephrine.
